Preface

Education Statistics and Indicators 2011-2012 Book provides basic information about public schools including pre-school, primary and secondary educations in Cambodia. On behalf of the ministry, I would like to express my profound gratitude to all contributors, especially school principals for collecting school data, and District and Provincial Offices of Education, Youth and Sport for checking, revising and submitting data in an accurate and timely manner.

This Education Statistics and Indicators 2011-12 book has been updated in accordance with the sub-degree, No. 80 អនក្រ.បក dated on May 18, 2011 on “The Establishment of Po Senchey District of Phnom Penh” and Prakas No. 417 អយក.ប្រក dated February 13, 2012 on “The Establishment of Po Senchey District Office of Education, Youth and Sport” of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport.

The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport would like to express deep gratitude to National Institute of Statistics of Ministry of Planning for providing population data which makes the calculation of some education indicators possible, UNICEF/Sida for their financial and technical support, and users for their constructive feedback.

Finally, I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to ministry leaders and staff in all levels for their contribution in producing this book which has been seen the betterment from year to year.
